Midas is a trusted household name with over 40 years experience in the Australian Market and one of the largest car servicing operators in Australia with over 85 stores nationwide. Initially establishing itself as an exhaust and muffler specialist, Midas has become the auto service experts specialising in car service, brakes, suspension and, yes of course, exhausts.
Midas and Velocity have a longstanding relationship and wanted to leverage this to attract a wider target audience while promoting the and brand it’s excellence in car servicing. This was done through a joint promotion whereby Midas gave away 1 Million Frequent Flyer Velocity Points to one lucky winner.
The mechanics of the promotion involved a customer booking in for a car service (of any kind) between 1st and 31st July. They were then prompted to enter the competition via a purpose built micro-site redemption form – which also captured the customers details for future marketing purposes.
The campaign achieved great results as a result of being promoted through a number of different channels to ensure maximum exposure to the desired target market; Digital, Television Ads, Radio Ads, YouTube Pre-rolls, Social, Point of Sale + In-store advertising and the Micro-site.
